Speaking Out: Recalling Women’s Aid in Scotland

Jean Stevenson Latest News, WASL News

The Speaking Out project is recording and documenting the history of Women’s Aid in Scotland.  It is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and is led by a partnership of Scottish Women’s Aid, Glasgow Women’s Library, Women’s History Scotland and the University of Glasgow’s Centre for Gender History.

It is recording interviews with people who have a connection to Women’s Aid in Scotland at any point in its past.  The project is sharing these findings through a touring exhibition, the creation of an accessible archive at Glasgow Women’s Library, a young people’s learning resource, a film and much, much more.
