Business Services

Developing a standardised business support service for WASLER as it continues to grow is the Business Team’s priority. The Business Support Services Team includes organisational administrative support, human resources, training, finance workers and Marac Co-ordinator. As such the team are charged with ensuring smooth running of the organisation to the benefit of all stakeholders.

WASLER’s commitment to on-going development of our service provision sees the business team oversee quality assurance and creative evaluation of service delivery. Given the interest in WASLER and consistent offer of volunteer support, our Human Resource worker continues to develop these schemes. Volunteer recruitment days will be announced in the forthcoming months.

Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire has the ability and desire to provide Domestic Abuse Training to outside agencies, either as a one off specific training, part of a package or tailored to individual needs.

Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire, as a lead organisation in the provision of Domestic Abuse Services to women, children and young people, in the area, endeavours to provide a quality, comprehensive and appropriate training to all our staff and believe that this should be available to partner agencies and other organisations,  in order to enable everyone to have some knowledge of the broad spectrum that is Domestic Abuse.

The training that can be provided is not an exhaustive list and there is potential for any training to be developed and expanded as required. Some of the things that can be covered are:

Understanding Dynamics of Domestic Abuse – Basic Awareness

Domestic Abuse Refresher Workshops

Working with Self Harm Workshop

Violence against Women: Does Culture Matter

Revenge Porn

Domestic Abuse in the Muslim Community

Awareness & Impact of Female Genital Mutilation

Domestic Abuse is for some people a fact of life and a way of life, covert and behind closed doors – it doesn’t have to be that way!

By offering a flexible and needs led training service, we can constantly look to expand and develop our training provision and we have an exciting opportunity for us to reach more people/organisations.
