Building Equality through Employability

Building Equality “Works For Women”.

Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire (WASLER) is one of just three organisations in Scotland piloting the Building Equality Project, which aims to help women who have experienced domestic abuse move back towards the labour market.

The project is still in its infancy, so WASLER is reaching out to all businesses across South Lanarkshire – particularly to employers beyond the typical female roles of caring, hospitality and retail – asking for their support. Could you talk to our women and inspire them to join your industry? Could you offer work experience for a couple of weeks so she could see whether your organisation or sector might be right for her? Are you looking for new employees and/or have the capacity for a part-time worker, to give her that first/next step into full employment?

WASLER is asking if you can use your skills or open your workplace to someone who deserves a break.

For more information or to talk through your participation in Building Equality please contact our Building Equality worker, Sara at:
